and his assistant
MISSING - Since January Product Description and Information :
Journalist, Jack Lorski, and his companion Karen Gijman disappear while
investigating a string of gruesome murders. Soon after their disappearance,
Jack’s agency receives a disturbing CD-ROM containing footage he captured
during his investigation. More than just a CD, this disc is in-fact the
beginning of a terrifying computer game with a maniacal killer known only as “The
Phoenix.” You will analyze video excerpts, photos and sound tracks, and
piece together evidence to find Jack and Karen! An investigation on the
fringe of reality!
Highlights
On November 2nd of last year, Jack Lorski informed SKL
Network executive directors Arnaud Ivan, Stephane Karlsberg and Marie Liloux of
his intention to follow up on an investigation that could lead to a prime-time
exclusive. He was given the administrative go-ahead and allocated a credit line.
On December 7th, following the in-house procedure, Jack gave
Marie Liloux a detailed verbal account. He was evidently trying to uncover links
between a number of murders and/or suicides committed in at least 5 different
countries (France, Greece, Czech Republic, Britain and Italy). In his report,
Jack spoke of an amateur super-8 film which he had come across by chance and
which had sparked off the whole investigation.
On February 4th, Jack sent in his expenses, along with those
of Karen Gijman. The letter containing the receipts was posted in Venice.
Since then, contrary to the procedure, which requires updates
at least once a month, we have had no contact with either Jack or Karen.
On March 12th, the police officers in charge of the
investigation searched Jack's barge, moored on the Seine by the Ile Saint-Denis.
There, they discovered a super-8 film, which might be at the origin of his
investigations. They have authorized us to make it public.
On 1 October, Arnaud Ivan received an apparently recent photo
of Karen Gijman at his Home address, showing her in a weakened condition and
obviously terrified. The photo was accompanied by a threat signed "the
Phoenix", which we consider to be authentic.
On 3 October, Arnaud Ivan received a video clip filmed by the kidnapper. Given
the particularly distressing nature of the video, we thought it preferable to
publish just a short extract.
On 8 October, Arnaud Ivan received a new package sent from
Bologna in Italy, containing a strange CD-ROM apparently designed as a computer game . As
we are at a complete loss as to how this program can be decrypted, we have
decided to distribute it to the public with consent from the police and thereby
increase our chances of finding clues inside that might give us a lead on Jack
and Karen's whereabouts.
